This is the first year that I’m going to be going to YALC and I AM SO EXCITED! I’m going with so many amazing people as well that I have met from Twitter and who I have met up with before. It is an expensive weekend, to be honest. It was £50 for the ticket and then I had to book a hotel for the three nights, and then obviously there are going to be stalls where I’ll want to buy things, so it’s going to get very expensive. BUT! Hey, guys and welcome to my May wrap up! I always do them on my YouTube channel but I never considered doing it on my website because I didn’t really know what to include on here apart from what books I’ve read (obviously). But after some deliberation, I came up with a couple of ideas to give you guys some insight as to what’s going on in my life. This one is a little bit longer than my April wrap up as I watched A LOT more television and films!

So I kind of went a bit overboard for buying books in May… I genuinely don’t know what’s wrong with me! I CAN’T STOP BUYING BOOKS! Like previous book hauls, this one is split into sections: graphic novels, manga, and then ‘normal’ books. There is normally an academic book section (because I have a tendency to buy A LOT of academic books), but this month, I didn’t buy any!

I’ve been looking out for more YA contemporary books about fat girls… Or even girls who aren’t comfortable with the size of their body or how they look. Because, I’m one of those girls, so I’m always on the lookout for good representation of this in YA. I’d heard a lot about Big Bones throughout the blogosphere and I was interested to see whether it was the type of book that I was looking for, so I decided to request a copy and see what I thought.
Hello, there! AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER MONTHS WORTH OF NEW RELEASES! I’ve pre ordered most of these books and I can’t wait for them to arrive and then I can read them straight away. Who am I kidding? Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! If you don’t already know, I now also have a YouTube channel where I have also filmed an unboxing as well as writing this blog post.
