This has been on my TBR ever since it came out. I was looking forward to reading Before I Let Go, because I enjoyed reading Nijkamp’s other book: This is Where it Ends (which is about a school shooting). After reading the blurb of BILG, it sounded very cliché, but sometimes clichés can be a good thing! So I opened my Kindle app, and started reading…

Last time I read something by Lynn Weingarten was 3 years ago and it was Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls. It was an ok book. Nothing amazing but it was entertaining. I saw that Weingarten had another book out and I was intrigued to see whether her writing style had developed and what new thrilling plots she would come up with this time. So I dived right in to Bad Girls With Perfect Faces…

I had heard so many good things about this book, and I kept seeing it on the buy one get one half price section of Waterstones. So when I saw it on Netgalley, I instantly requested it and luckily, I was sent it! As soon as I had downloaded it, I started reading it straight away and it took me three hours to read – in one sitting.

I’m kind of getting into the groove of reading poetry lately… Maybe it’s because there’s a lot of it being published that’s aimed at teenagers and young adults, maybe it’s because I fancy something a little bit different. I don’t know. Nevertheless, I was intrigued by this poet that had come by way – R.H Sin. Apparently, he is a very well known poet with many fans saying how his contemporary poetry is magical. I was eager to see if I agreed.

March 2018 Book Haul

March 2018 Book Haul

So I did a thing… I decided to give up buying books for lent. The following books are ones that I actually pre-ordered and they just arrived in March. I wasn’t actually going to give up anything for lent, but I decided to give up buying books to really challenge myself. And in my defence, I actually pre-ordered these books in January or something like that, so I didn’t buy any book at all in March!

Anyway, let’s just get on with the haul…
