With only 180 days left in the year (yikes!) I have read 53 books and 15, 302 pages and I’m 22 books behind schedule. Oh, the joys. It’s actually very depressing seeing that I’m so far behind my reading goal of 150 books. We’re over half way through the year and I’m only 35% completed. My plan was to read SO MUCH over the summer holidays before I go back to university in September, but I’ve been in such huge reading slumps. Maybe i just need to read loads of manga and graphic novels to catch up? …

Oh, I do love a good book about books. They make me feel all warm inside and I can relate to absolutely everything that happens… Perks of being a book lover! When I saw this book on Netgalley, I instantly requested it. It’s just the type of contemporary that I love reading and I had such high expectations!

I had been waiting to read this book for over a year. I love fantasy, and I love books that feel like re-tellings, but aren’t? If you get what I mean… The Hazel Wood sounded so intriguing with its magical world, and from the synopsis, it kind of gave me a similar feeling to The Raven Boys – a whimsical world just a stretch away from ours. So because of that, and because of my love for The Raven Boys, I was so so so excited… …
I really did try not to buy a lot of books this month. And in my defence, 85% of this book haul are books that I’ve pre-ordered. It’s pretty much only the paperbacks that I’ve bought spontaneously in Waterstones. I did splurge a little bit on a couple of Barnes and Noble exclusive editions, but I couldn’t help myself. They were just tempting me so much!

Hey, guys and welcome to my June wrap up! I always do them on my YouTube channel but I never considered doing it on my website because I didn’t really know what to include on here apart from what books I’ve read (obviously). But after some deliberation, I came up with a couple of ideas to give you guys some insight as to what’s going on in my life. I only ended up reading 4 books in June which is pretty bad for me, but I’ve been in a massive reading slump, and a lot has been going on, which you will find out about later on in this post.

Hello, there! AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER MONTHS WORTH OF NEW RELEASES! I’ve pre-ordered most of these books and I can’t wait for them to arrive and then I can read them straight away. Who am I kidding? I’m not going to read them as soon as they arrive… I wish I could though. There’s quite a lot of amazing releases coming out in July!

Ahhhhh, the final book in the Graceling trilogy. Like the other two, I listened to Bitterblue on audiobook and it was soooooo good! I think it’s safe for me to say, but Bitterblue is my favourite book in the trilogy… Yes, I thought it was even better than Graceling and waaaaayy better than Fire. …
