After listening to Kiss of Deception on audiobook, I was a bit apprehensive of carrying on with the series. I gave the first book 4 stars, so I wasn’t apprehensive because it wasn’t very good, I was apprehensive because I wasn’t sure where Mary E. Pearson could have gone with the story that would have taken up 2 more books. However, I’m really glad that I decided to carry on with the series as I have ended up loving the characters more than before.

The Netgalley Book Tag

The Netgalley Book Tag

If you know me even a little bit, you will know that I am OBSESSED with Netgalley. Since I have major anxiety about actually emailing publishing companies and requesting ARCs, then Netgalley is my life saver and stops me from having that anxiety. Every morning on weekdays, one of the first things that I do when I wake up is to log onto Netgalley and see what new books they’ve put up to request. I’ve received so many amazing books (and some not-so-good) so I thought it was perfect that I do the NETGALLEY BOOK TAG!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

In true Kirsty fashion, I am so late to the party to read this book. I had to read The Hate U Give for the monthly book club at my local Waterstones. Anyway, let’s just get on with the haul…

Paper Girls Vol. 2 by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang

Paper Girls Vol. 2 by Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang

If you read my review of volume one of this series, you will know that whilst I (kinda) enjoyed it, it was too much of a fast-moving storyline with no character connection. I was hoping that volume two would flesh out the characters a little bit more, and that we would stop in one time for a little bit longer so that I could get used to the world, rather than moving around really quickly so that I get whiplash.
