So this is going to be a short review for a very short book! When I saw this up to be requested on NetGalley, I knew that I had to request it. I love a good middle grade horror novel and I was interested in the fact that the author was writing a short story set in each state of America. …
Yes, I know that I’m like a billion years too late in reading this. My TBR IS MILES AND MILES long, and if I’m being completely honest, I only read this when I did because Samantha Shannon was at YALC so I probably wouldn’t have read it for another billion years. BUT IT’S OK! I’ve read it now! And I can honestly say that I’m really sad that I didn’t read beforehand, because I really really enjoyed it. …
I was perusing my library one afternoon when I came across this book sitting on one of the shelves. I had never heard about it before, but after reading the book, I was instantly intrigued.
Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! If you don’t already know, I now also have a YouTube channel where I have also filmed an unboxing as well as writing this blog post. So, for this month the theme was ‘Dragons’ and when the theme was announced last month, and I had no idea what this book was going to be… No clue AT ALL, so that added an element of excitement to this month!
Let’s get on with the unboxing… …
I was actually going to put in all of the pictures of the books that I’m excited for in 2019, and then also put the release date and then the synopsis next to the book, but then I realised that this post would be hundreds of miles long so I decided against it. …
Well, here we are guys… The last book haul of 2018. I don’t know whether this year has gone super quick, or super slow. It’s such a strange feeling. Anyway, since it was also Christmas, I’ve decided to just split this book haul into three different sections: books I bought myself, books that I got for Christmas, and the book of the month for Fairy Loot.
Anyway, without any further ado, let’s jump into the book haul… …
In June/July, I actually did a ‘My Year (so far) in Books‘ post, so that I could share with you where I was regarding my Goodreads challenge. Now that it’s the end of the year, I can look back and see whether any my statistics changed and whether I reached my goal or not *spoiler: I didn’t* …
2018 was a very strange year… I don’t know whether it went really quick, or really slow. I will be doing a reflection on 2018 post as well that will cover my reading and my personal life, but for now, I’m going to do the much-loved end of year book tag. You can check out last year’s tag here, and also my 2018 mid year book tag!
Hello, there! AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER YEAR WHERE THERE ARE SO MANY AMAZING RELEASES. We’re kicking off the year with a bunch of fantastic releases that all look so tempting, but unfortunately I need to save money as well (who knew?), which means that I can’t pre-order all of these books. It was so hard to pick which ones to pre-order, but there are some that are probably going to be on the ‘buy one get one half price’ tables at Waterstones like the contemporary novels, so I can leave those.
