As soon as I read the blurb for Internment, I knew that I had to request an early copy of it, and I am so glad that I did. I know that I only read it two months before the release date, but it meant that I could rave about it for two months and convinced loads of my friends to pre-order or buy it when it came out in the shops.

My TBR IS MILES AND MILES long, and if I’m being completely honest, I only read this when I did because Samantha Shannon was at YALC so I probably wouldn’t have read it for another billion years. So, for this month the theme was ‘Dragons’ and when the theme was announced last month, and I had no idea what this book was going to be… No clue AT ALL, so that added an element of excitement to this month!

Well, here we are guys… The last book haul of 2018. I don’t know whether this year has gone super quick, or super slow. It’s such a strange feeling. Anyway, since it was also Christmas, I’ve decided to just split this book haul into three different sections: books I bought myself, books that I got for Christmas, and the book of the month for Fairy Loot.

Hello, there! AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER YEAR WHERE THERE ARE SO MANY AMAZING RELEASES. We’re kicking off the year with a bunch of fantastic releases that all look so tempting, but unfortunately I need to save money as well (who knew?), which means that I can’t pre-order all of these books. It was so hard to pick which ones to pre-order, but there are some that are probably going to be on the ‘buy one get one half price’ tables at Waterstones like the contemporary novels, so I can leave those.

Look… Don’t judge me, okay? But there are a lot of books in this book haul. I did actually get a lot of them for my birthday which was on the 17th! I was going to do a separate post with the books that I got for my birthday, but I decided to put them altogether so that they’re all in one place.
