I do love a good graphic novel. I’ve always loved comic books and graphic novels, so I’m always on the lookout for new stories to immerse myself into. I think one of the things that really draw myself into graphic novels is the artwork; I love poring over the illustrations.
Yes, I’ve been on a bit of a graphic novel binge lately on Netgalley. Every time I saw a graphic novel that looked remotely interesting, I would request it. And Valiant High was just one of the ones that I requested.
Ahhhh, I have been waiting for this book for so long! After reading (and loving) Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda, and watching the film (and loving that as well), I was eagerly awaiting to join my favourite group of fictional friends again and to see what they get up to.
I don’t read a lot of historical fiction. It’s got the connotations of being boring attatched to it, and even though I know that isn’t true, it still makes me weary when approaching a historical novel. But after reading Orphan Monster Spy, I definitely think I’m going to be reading more of it.
The Belles was yet another book that was on my YALC TBR pile. I was in such a massive reading mood during July because of how many books I needed to read for YALC. I had my apprehensions about this book because I’d heard so many mixed things, but I really wanted to get my book signed by Dhonielle, so I decided to take the plunge and start reading. …
I love Sara Barnard’s books. I enjoyed reading Beautiful Broken Things (WHICH THERE IS GOING TO BE A SEQUEL OF!!), I absolutely love reading A Quiet Kind of Thunder, so when Goodbye, Perfect was released, and I found out that Sara Barnard was going to be at YALC, I jumped at the chance to start reading this contemporary novel,
The Loneliest Girl in the Universe was one of my most anticipated reads of 2017… Only, I didn’t read it in 2017, because I AM RUBBISH at keeping on top of my TBR. But when I found out that Lauren James would be attending YALC 2018, I decided that it was about time that I started reading this book. I love a good science fiction novel, and after reading Lauren James’ The Next Together, I had fallen in love with James’ writing style. …
I was browsing Audible, looking for a book to listen to when I came across The Strange Case of the Alchemist’s Daughter. From the title, I could tell that it was a take on Jekyll and Hyde. I read the premise, and it was something that I knew that I would really enjoy. I love reading books about classic literature, and I love reading re-tellings of them. …
For those of you who are regular visitors of my blog and regular viewers of my BookTube channel, you will know that I am OBSESSED with Brendan Reichs’ books: Nemesis, and the sequel, Genesis. For the release of Genesis, Pan Macmillan contacted me and asked if I would like to be sent a copy of Genesis (of course, I agreed). Once I had read, reviewed, and sent the review to Pan Macmillan, my correspondent at the publishing house asked if I would like to ask Reichs some questions. I nearly died a fangirl death.
So here we go! These are the questions I was dying to ask him, and these are his answers. Enjoy! …
