This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

I am finally getting round to reading all of the books that I have been wanting to read for what seems like my whole entire life. I’m keeping myself off of Netgalley so that I’m not tempted to request any books which also means that I don’t have to read books by deadlines WHICH THEN also means that I get to read my own books that I’ve bought with my own money. And when I realised that I had an open slot in my blog schedule, I jumped at the chance to put This Savage Song in that spot so that I could get to read it! AND OH.MY.LIFE, it was definitely worth the wait.

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody

Daughter of the Burning City by Amanda Foody

If you’re a regular reader of my reviews, you will know that I am not a big fan of circus/carnival books and the only one that I truly loved was Caraval by Stephanie Garber. I’ve read a handful more of similar storylines, yet they never seem to leave me hankering for more. Daughter of the Burning City was better than other circus/carnival books that I have read but it still wasn’t a book that I would read again and again.

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

I’m quite late to the party for Stalking Jack the Ripper. I’m always a bit wary of when authors take a moment in history and turn it into a piece of fiction. As you’ve probably guessed, this book is about Jack the Ripper, so you’ll have to prepare yourself for a gruesome ride.

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

900 billion years later and I finally got the chance to read Cinder. I own all four books in the series and I’ve only just started reading them. WOW, KIRSTY. JUST… WOW. But I’ve finally read the first one and all I can say is that it was worth the wait. This is such an exceptional book and I cannot wait to read more about this world.

History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera

History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera

This is the first Adam Silvera book that I have ever read. I bought it as soon as it came out but I didn’t end up reading it until months and months later because of the hype that was surrounding the book; it just put me off reading it. But now I’ve finally read it, and I can finally share with you all what I thought of History is All You Left Me.

S.T.A.G.S by M.A. Bennett

S.T.A.G.S by M.A. Bennett

A YA thriller… I haven’t really seen many of these within the YA book community, so when I received S.T.A.G.S from the publisher to review, I read the blurb and I was very intrigued to see how a YA thriller would be written. There were some of the usual ‘rich people’ tropes that were in the book, but all in all, it was a very enjoyable read.
