After the film adaptation of Lemony Snickets books came out in 2004, fans were let down by the way the film tried – and failed to combine the first three books into one single film. Television shows at the moment seem to be all about the ‘epicness’. It’s a battle to see who can create the most disturbing, the most bloody or the most mouth-gaping of shows. Inspired by the 1973 film of the same name, the television adaptation of Westworld, fits into these categories. It’s disturbing, it’s bloody and it blew my mind.
