Nemesis by Brendan Reichs

Nemesis by Brendan Reichs

I LOVED this book! It was just… wow… I can’t seem to get my brain together to write this review. I saw this book advertised about a year ago and I had read all of the hype that surrounded it. But when I looked on Amazon to buy it, it was £53 for the Audio CD and £35 for the hardcover. I was beat. But luckily, I waited and Nemesis was finally sent to me from the publisher so for that, I’ll be forever grateful!

Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel

Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel

Asdfghshshsbsjs! I am just speechless at how amazing this book was and I am so so excited to start reading the second book! For me, Sleeping Giants is like a hidden gem. I didn’t really know what to expect going into it. All I knew was that the cover was pretty and it was about a scientist who discovers something strange. It sounded pretty good to me!

Luna: New Moon by Ian McDonald

Luna: New Moon by Ian McDonald

Ever since I was a child, I have been obsessed with space and even now, at the age of 21, I still have dreams about going to Mars – alas, I will never be able to afford that. So, I live my space-travelling fantasies through literature and Luna: New Moon (as you can probably guess) is set on the Moon so I knew instantly that I had to pick it up!

Reboot by Amy Tintera

Reboot by Amy Tintera

My bookshelf was looking very scarce of Sci-Fi books. I have a lot of dystopian billions of contemporary young adult books but not a lot of science fiction. To be completely honest, I have no idea why because I absolutely love the genre. Plop me down in front of a science fiction tv show or film and I will happily watch it without any fuss, give me a science fiction and I will devour it whole. So why don’t I have a lot of Sci-Fi books? I have no idea, but I changed that very quickly.

One of the first Sci-Fi books that I bought to add to my small collection was Reboot by Amy Tintera.

The Next Together by Lauren James

The Next Together by Lauren James

Time travel and reincarnation? Yes, please. This is the first book that I have ever read by Lauren James and I have to say… I’m quite impressed. Even though parts of the book felt very familiar, the overall style of writing and character development captured my attention and I ended up finishing this book in a couple of days.

The Last Day of Captain Lincoln by EXO Books

The Last Day of Captain Lincoln by EXO Books

The Last Day of Captain Lincoln is the debut novel from EXO Books and is a novella that is intriguing, captivating, exciting and inspirational.

This 133-page book was heart-warming whilst also being a book that made you cry, it was a book that you could take something away from, an important lesson that you could learn. That’s why this book was so good.

More Than This by Patrick Ness

More Than This by Patrick Ness

More Than This is the first book that I have ever read by Patrick Ness. And it certainly isn’t going to be the last. I was recommended by one of my best friends to read this last year and I finally decided to read it.

I was quite weary of reading this, as the blurb doesn’t give away much about the book, and I like having some inkling about what the book is about before I start reading – all I knew is that a boy dies and wakes up in an unknown place.

It does sound very interesting though, doesn’t it?
