Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Bloody hell… It’s took me 2 years to finally start reading this book. Part of the reason it’s took me so long to get round to it is because of all of the talk that was going on about Sarah J. Maas and I was just put off… But I decided that I really wanted to read the books and so I just picked it up, with average expectations, and went on this amazing journey with some brilliant characters…

The Diabolic by S.J Kincaid

The Diabolic by S.J Kincaid

I was a bit apprehensive to read this for some unknown reason. Maybe it was the hype that surrounded it? I have no idea. Also, whilst I was reading it, I kept thinking that it was Scythe by Neal Shusterman (?) I genuinely have no clue what was going on inside of my head. I know that S.J Kincaid wrote a very popular series before The Diabolic, but this is the first book that I had ever read by her, and I was curious to see what all of the hype was about.

So when I was sent this book by the publisher, I had majorly high expectations going into it and I knew I wasn’t going to be disappointed.

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

I listened to The Kiss of Deception on audiobook and I think – looking back – I would have liked to have read the physical copy of the book. The audiobook was good, and the narrator did a fantastic job in making the novel come to life, but there’s just something about reading it in its physical form that would have made me enjoy it even more.

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

There’s Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins

Stephanie Perkins is (apparently) the Queen of young adult contemporary novels. I say apparently because I haven’t read her contemporary work. So when she released the premise of her new novel: There’s Someone Inside Your House, I was instantly intrigued. Perkins had left the world of gushy, cheesy, romantic, contemporary and delved into the world of thriller, murder and mystery.
