Wicked Like a Wildfire by Lana Popović
Wicked Like a Wildfire is yet another hyped up YA magical realism book that completely let me down. Yes, I know that I’m starting this review in a negative way, but I just had to get that off of my chest. …

I had been waiting to read this book for over a year. I love fantasy, and I love books that feel like re-tellings, but aren’t? If you get what I mean… The Hazel Wood sounded so intriguing with its magical world, and from the synopsis, it kind of gave me a similar feeling to The Raven Boys – a whimsical world just a stretch away from ours. So because of that, and because of my love for The Raven Boys, I was so so so excited… …
I had to read this book for my monthly Waterstones book club, and guess what? I didn’t read it in time. I had read 80 pages, and at the book club, I was given spoilers for the rest of the book, but I wasn’t really that bothered. BUT! 1 week later, I finished it, and these are my thoughts… …
I’ve seen so many good graphic novels get put on Netgalley, but I hardly ever request them. The first ones I ever requested were The Damned Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 by Cullen Bunn. This is what happens when you read so much, you just forget everything. BUT, I can remember that I absolutely loved this book apart from a few tiny tiny things and it was a very nice ending to an amazing quartet. …
It has been so long since I read The Dream Thieves that I had to read spoiler reviews of the book so that I could refresh my memory. When I started reading Blue Lily, Lily Blue, I still couldn’t remember what had happened but as kept reading, I remembered and all of the reasons why I love this series came flooding back. …
When I searched this book on Goodreads so that I could add it to my ‘currently reading’ shelf, I noticed that this book had a very low average rating and I just felt so disheartened. But, I started the book and read it til the very ending. The average ratings on Goodreads didn’t miss the mark too much. …
