The ABC Book Challenge: ‘D’

The ABC Book Challenge: ‘D’

It’s been ages since I’ve done The ABC Book Challenge, and I’m not gonna lie, posting every day in December, has meant that my brain just dried up with ideas, so I thought ‘ well… time to carry on the book challenge!’

The rules are simple. Each week you pick your most memorable reads and books from your TBR that start with that week’s letter. I can’t seem to find where this book tag originated from, so if anyone has any idea, just let me know.

Anyway, let’s get on with the tag. This week, I’m going to be talking about the books that start with the letter ‘D’.

A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab: Of course this was going to be on this list. How could it not be?!

Dreamfall by Amy Plum: I hardly ever see anything about this book in the blogosphere, and I think it needs to be talked about more because it’s just so damn strange. || REVIEW ||

Daughter of the Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller: These was the first-ever book that I read by Levenseller, and she instantly became one of my favourite authors. || REVIEW ||

The Diviners by Libba Bray: This series just gave me life. I remember I first started listening to The Diviners when I was walking around the park, it was starting to get dark, and the ghostly atmosphere of the book just creeped me out.

Dread Nation by Justina Ireland: This has been on my TBR ever since it came out. I don’t even have a good enough reason as to why I haven’t read it yet.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch: I actually started reading this book as a buddy read with one of my best friends, but then we had to both start our masters, so we stopped reading it. I think we read about 70 pages?

Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson: I absolutely loved The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson, and from what I can remember, Dance of Thieves is set in the same world? I’m not sure?

The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White: I love anything to do with retelling classical novels. Like with Dread Nation, I have no idea why I haven’t read this yet.

Descendant of the Crane by Joan He: Joan He has had so much trouble with the rights of this book, which you can read about here. I can’t remember whether this book came in a Fairy Loot box, or whether I bought it, but either way, I owned it before all of the trouble started, and the premise just sounds so amazing! || HELP JOAN HE WITH HER LEGAL BILL ||

If this challenge teaches me anything, it’s that I have so many books to read, and most of them are blogger favourites or just really popular ones that I haven’t gotten around to yet.

Until next time…
