Fairy Loot Unboxing | March 2020
Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! So, for this month the theme was ‘Break the Curse’ and when the theme was announced last month, I knew exactly what the book was. Due to everything that’s going on in the world right now, the Fairy Loot subscription boxes were delayed in shipping which is completely understandable – hence why the unboxing post is actually being posted in May!
Let’s get on with the unboxing…
Another Fairy Loot box means another month of gorgeous artwork which is designed by Taratjah! The artwork for this month is absolutely amazing and sums up the book and theme perfectly. On the back of this card is all of the information about each item, but I never look at this as it contains spoilers as to what is in the box, and I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!
I love having loads of different tumblers, as I’m umm… constantly leaving ones that I’ve used in my room and don’t take them downstairs… I know I’m not the only one! The design was created by Noverantale and is inspired by The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black.
I’m not actually one for headbands, but I love the design of this one which is inspired by Cabeswater from The Raven Cycle and I use it when I’m doing my cleansing every day to push my hair back which is very handy!
I genuinely have a drawer full of notebooks/pads but you know what? You can never have enough. This gorgeous notepad was designed by Catarina.

I thought it was so lovely and thoughtful of Fairy Loot to include a little postcard to apologise for the delayed shipping of the boxes. It just shows how much the care about their subscribers.
So a passport cover seems a bit… useless right now? Since none of us can actually go anywhere. But once all this has settled down, I’m going to be jetting off somewhere, and I’m definitely going to be using this passport cover which is inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
I love book sleeves so much. I really do. I genuinely can’t get enough of them, and they’re so handy for when I go to YALC so I can put all the books I’ve bought in safe places. This gorgeous book sleeve was designed by Evie Seo – who is one of my favourite designers ever, and was inspired by A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer.
Lanyards are also super useful things to have a handful of! This was designed by Catarina and in inspired by Caraval by Stephanie Garber.

As usual, Fairy Loot included two collectible tarot cards in their box and these were designed by @Gabriella.bujdoso and was inspired by the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
Aaaaannnnddddd…. The book of the month is The Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie. I’ve been wanting to read this book ever since I heard about it AGGESS ago, and I’m so excited that I finally have it.
This months book includes green, shimmery sprayed edges, exclusive gold foil on the cover, artwork on the dust jacket by Diana Worak, and is also signed by the author!
I don’t know who did the beautiful artwork on the reverse of the author’s letter, so if you know, could you please let me know?! Because I am IN LOVE!
Bone Criers have a sacred duty. They alone can keep the dead from preying on the living. But their power to ferry the spirits of the dead into goddess Elara’s Night Heavens or Tyrus’s Underworld comes from sacrifice. The gods demand a promise of dedication. And that promise comes at the cost of the Bone Criers’ one true love.
Ailesse has been prepared since birth to become the matriarch of the Bone Criers, a mysterious famille of women who use strengths drawn from animal bones to ferry dead souls. But first she must complete her rite of passage and kill the boy she’s also destined to love.
Bastien’s father was slain by a Bone Crier and he’s been seeking revenge ever since. Yet when he finally captures one, his vengeance will have to wait. Ailesse’s ritual has begun and now their fates are entwined—in life and in death.
Sabine has never had the stomach for the Bone Criers’ work. But when her best friend Ailesse is taken captive, Sabine will do whatever it takes to save her, even if it means defying their traditions—and their matriarch—to break the bond between Ailesse and Bastien. Before they all die.
As always, Fairy Loot included the Fairyscoop newsletter which includes an interview with the author and also the information for next months box (which sounds A-MAZ-ING!), and then they also include a bookmark that has the artwork of the month printed on the front and then ‘Fairy Loot / March 2020 / ‘Break the Curse’ printed on the back!
Thank you to Fairy Loot for another month of bookish goodness. I can’t wait for next months box which is themed ‘Memories’. After reading the description of the book, I know exactly what the boo is, and I AM SUPER EXCITED!
Fairy Loot have stated that the April book will have an exclusive cover, sprayed edges, artwork on the reverse dust jacket, and will also be signed by the author. So, we are going to get spoiled in April!
Don’t forget to check out the Fairy Loot website to see pictures and details of their past book boxes and to also see their price plans for subscriptions. You can find all of my unboxings on my unboxings page…
Believe me guys, you do not want to miss out!
