Fairy Loot ‘Finale’ Unboxing | 2019
Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing!
If you weren’t aware, this Finale box is the first time that Fairy Loot have done a special edition box for just one book, so all of the items included in this box are inspired by the Caraval series.
Let’s get on with the unboxing…
When I first opened the box, I was so tempted to sneak a peek at the spoiler card but NO, I also didn’t want to ruin all of the surprises that were in store for me.
This gorgeous mug that has the Tess and Donatella from the series was designed by Sally at Sallteas and lettering by Catarina Book Designs. I guess you can never have too many mugs! When I move house, I think that most of the mugs in my Mom’s cupboard are mine from Fairy Loot, so she’ll be left with empty shelves!

One of the things that I love receiving in book subscription boxes are book sleeves. I don’t think you can have too many, and they always come in handy. I know that I’ll definitely be using this one when I go to YALC in July!
I can’t get over how amazing this art print is of the four main characters in the Caraval series. @morgana0anagrom is such a brilliant artist; I always love it when her artwork is included in Fairy Loot because she manages to capture the very essence of the characters.
How cute is this little Legend figurine? It now sits proudly on my bookshelf by all of my Caraval books.
I think I need to start burning the candles that I get in Fairy Loot. I think that I’ve only used one and the other billion are just sat on my bookshelves. I think one of the reasons why I don’t want to use them is because they’re always SO PRETTY! This Midnight Maze candle from Bookish Burns and Noverantale looks gorgeous. Look at all this glitter!!
I love it when bookish subscription boxes include jewellery. I’m always so fascinated to see what they come up with when working with a theme, and I think that this playing card necklace from Fairy Loot incorporates the theme perfectly.
I don’t think that I’ve ever smelt a lip balm as nice as this. It smells of apples and it makes your lips feel so soft… The lip balm was made by Little Heart Gifts and the artwork is by I Can Draw Thingz.
Even though I don’t play cards, and I will probably never use these, I do think that the design on them is beautiful, front and back. The character artwork on the front of the cards was designed by Lexa and the back of the cards and the box was designed by Noverantale.
Another thing that I don’t think you can have enough of is bookmarks and these magnetic ones of the characters are just to die for. They were created by Idlestuff and are perfect for people who LOVE the Caraval series.
This has got to be my favourite thing that has EVER been included in a book subscription box. LOOK AT THIS BLANKET! LOOK AT THE ART! LOOK AT THE DETAIL! OH MY LIFE, I’M OBSESSED. I think I’m going to be using this 24/7.
I think one of the things that I thought whilst I was opening this box was, WOW I LOVE ALL OF THIS ARTWORK, and then my mind wandered to… ‘how much artwork do they want to include?’ I don’t know whether it’s too much or not? But anyway, you have to admire how beautiful the art is on the front and the back.
We’re finally coming up to the end of the post now, just a few more things for your eyes to indulge in! One of the last things in the box before the book were these bookmarks with the characters on that were designed by Arz.
And last but certainly not least, we have these pin badges designed by Dust and Pages and Icey Designs. I’m so gad that Fairy Loot included a pin flag in their box a few months ago, because I’ve been accumulating pins like crazy, so now these ones can be added to the flag with the rest of them!
And here we have the book! I can’t get over how gorgeous it is. One of the things that really blew me away was the edges. I was expecting block colour, but not the stencils which really give the book an added kick! I know that I normally include the synopsis of the book of the month in this section, but for anyone who hasn’t read the first and second book, I don’t want to give away any spoilers!
I just want to say a MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to Fairy Loot for their incredible first special edition box, I can’t wait to purchase your next one!
Don’t forget to check out the Fairy Loot website to see pictures and details of their past book boxes and to also see their price plans for subscriptions. You can find all of my unboxings on my unboxings page…
