WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam on Taking on a World of Words. Anyone can participate by answering the three questions below and then posting a link to your post from your blog on Sam’s website, or just answer the questions on her post if you do not have a blog.
The three questions (Ws) are:
1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?
So without any further ado, let’s get on with it, shall we?
Title: A Gathering of Shadows
Author: V.E. Schwab
Progress: 55/512
Thoughts:
I don’t know why, but I have a feeling that this is going to suffer from second book syndrome. When I read the blurb, it didn’t seem to be as exciting as the first book, but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
At the moment, the story has concentrated on Lila Bard and her pirate antics, and even though I love Lila’s character, I’m really excited to see more of Kell and Rhy. And I can already tell that I’m going to absolutely love Alucard.
Title: The Wicked King
Author: Holly Black
Progress: 9/322
Thoughts:
Yes, ok I’m only page 9. Leave me alone.
I was very very lucky to get an ARC of The Cruel Prince, so I DID read that ages and ages ago so I kinda forgot what had happened, so I had to head over to Book Series Recaps to refresh my memory. Once I had read their recap, I started reading The Wicked King before I was supposed to meet Holly Black and Cassandra Clare at Birmingham. But I only got to page 9. Still, I’m glad to be back in the Fae world and I’m so excited to carry on reading it because I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this book.
Title: A Darker Shade of Magic
Author: V.E. Schwab
Thoughts:
I really don’t understand why I didn’t read this book earlier than I did. I seem to be so scared of hyped books that I just put them off forever.
However, I AM SO GLAD that I’ve finally read this book. I finally get all of your references! YAY!
I ABSOLUTELY love the characters of Kell and Lila and I can’t wait to go on this amazing journey with them in the next two books.
Title: Heartstopper Vol. 1
Author: Alice Oseman
Thoughts:
As soon as my pre-order of Heartstopper arrived, I read it straight away. I wasn’t going to. I just read the first couple of pages and then I ended up reading the whole thing because it was just so addictive AND ADORABLE. OH MY GOD MY HEART FELT SO WARM AND FLUFFY WHEN I WAS READING THIS.
Definitely these two. I was lucky enough to snag some tickets to go and meet Angie Thomas in Birmingham, so I really need to read On the Come Up before I go and see her! I’M SO EXCITED!
It’s nice to keep you guys updated on what I’m reading, and even though I do an end-of-the-month wrap-up, you never get to see what I’m reading during the week.
What are you guys reading this week? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time…
