Rebellions are built on hope.
Set in a horrifying near-future United States, seventeen-year-old Layla Amin and her parents are forced into an internment camp for Muslim American citizens.
With the help of newly made friends also trapped within the internment camp, her boyfriend on the outside, and an unexpected alliance, Layla begins a journey to fight for freedom, leading a revolution against the internment camp’s Director and his guards.
Okay, so I’m slightly cheating when it comes to this weeks post, because I’ve already read this book. I received an ARC and as soon as I got it, I read it straight away and oh my god, I am in love. The reason why I’ve included it in this week’s Waiting on Wednesday is because I can’t wait to buy the finished copy of it and then for it to be in the wild where everyone can read it. I’ve already told all of my friends at Waterstones about it and making sure that they are going to read it.
So please… read it!!
Have you gotten to read this early? If so what are your thoughts on it? If not, are you guys interested in picking this book up? I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I AM SO EXCITED!!
Until next time…
