It’s a book set along the Silk Road which I think is intriguing in itself because I haven’t read (or heard of) any YA books that take place in this location. I am absolutely loving the fact that there are a lot more diverse novels in the world of YA now, because that’s exactly what it SHOULD be like! I live in a multicultural world, so I want the books that I read to reflect that, and having an Asian inspired fantasy that celebrates strong women and conveys Asian history is something that I am definitely looking forward to.
