Fairy Loot November Unboxing | 2018
Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! If you don’t already know, I now also have a YouTube channel where I have also filmed an unboxing as well as writing this blog post. So, for this month the theme was ‘Battles & Galaxies’ and when the theme was announced last month, and I had an idea of what the book was going to be, but I wasn’t 100% sure. A lot of people were disappointed that Fairy Loot were doing a sci-fi themed box, but NOT ME! I love science fiction so I was super happy.
Let’s get on with the unboxing…
Another Fairy Loot box means another month of gorgeous artwork which is designed by Taratjah! The artwork for this month is absolutely amazing and sums up the book and theme perfectly. On the back of this card is all of the information about each item, but I never look at this as it contains spoilers as to what is in the box, and I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!
The next item that I saw in the box was this GORGEOUS STARBURST SCENT BATH BOMB. I love Starbursts so much. SO SO MUCH. And what’s even better is that the bath bomb does actually smells like the sweets which is a bonus.
RRP: £3.50
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Miss Phi’s designs. I think she is so talented and I can normally recognise her artwork straight away because of how unique it is. For this months Fairy Loot box, she designed a set of 4 coasters inspired by the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. On each coaster is a quote taken from each book, and I love these so much! You can never have enough coasters.
I was very very confused as to what these were when I first opened the pouch. I thought it was something that was broken and I was genuinely trying to put it back together. It was super blonde moment… But after reading the spoiler card, I found out that they’re actually straws. And wow did I feel stupid. These are bought to us exclusively by Fairy Loot and are 100% reusable. There was even a straw-cleaner included! On each straw there is a quote. One says ‘Reach for the stars’, and the other one says ‘shine bright’. All I can think about when reading those messages are 1) Reach for the stars by SClub 7 (yes, I used to listen to them when I was a child) and 2) Diamond by Rihanna…
This is another item that was bought to us exclusively by Fairy Loot and it’s this really cute passport holder. I’m going away to Austria in a few weeks, so I’ll definitely be using this to spice up my boring red passport.
Yes… Christmas is upon us… And what better way to celebrate that with this amazing wooden tree ornament by Catarina’s Book Designs. The ornament says ‘it is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves’, and it’s a quote taken from William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar.

I can’t get enough of tote bags. I don’t even use them that often as backpacks are my go-to bag choice, but I just love the designs of the tote bags that come in the Fairy Loot boxes. Like Miss Phi, Evie Seo is another designer that I absolutely love. Her designs are beautiful and I have so many products with her designs on. On this tote bag, the quote says ‘Perhaps bravery is simply the face humanity wraps around its collective madness’ and it’s a quote taken from Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
KDP Letters have been featured quite a lot in recent Fairy Loot boxes, and it’s for a good reason! I really like their products and this iron-on patch is no different. It features a quote from Pierce Brown’s Red Rising and it says ‘I am the reaper and death is my shadow’. I really need to get myself a denim jacket or something where I can put all of these patches that I have because I do really want to put them to use.
This is actually the only promotional item that we have in this months Fairy Loot box. It’s a character artwork and a free ebook download for Atlas Fallen by Jessica Pierce. I haven’t heard anything about this book, but after checking the synopsis out on Goodreads, it actually sounds really interesting!

And here it is! The book of the month! This months book was Skyward by Brandon Sanderson. I’ve never read anything by Sanderson before (please don’t @ me), but this book sounds really interesting so I’m definitely down to give it a go. Because of Sanderson being a very busy author, there were two different versions of Skyward that were sent out. If you were in the USA or Canada, Skyward would have included a signed bookplate, if you did not live in the USA or Canada, the book would include spray painted pages. But everyone did get a letter from Sanderson.
Obviously, me living in the UK, I received a copy with spray painted pages, and they are bright yellow! I think they look so cool!
Defeated, crushed, and driven almost to extinction, the remnants of the human race are trapped on a planet that is constantly attacked by mysterious alien starfighters. Spensa, a teenage girl living among them, longs to be a pilot.
When she discovers the wreckage of an ancient ship, she realizes this dream might be possible—assuming she can repair the ship, navigate flight school, and (perhaps most importantly) persuade the strange machine to help her. Because this ship, uniquely, appears to have a soul.

Along with the book, Fairy Loot included a letter from the author that also acts as character artwork which was designed by Salome Totladze from @morgana0anagrom.
As always, Fairy Loot included the Fairyscoop newsletter which includes an interview with the author and also the information for next months box (which sounds A-MAZ-ING!), and then they also include a bookmark that has the artwork of the month printed on the front and then ‘Fairy Loot / November 2018 / ‘Battles & Galaxies’ printed on the back!
Thank you to Fairy Loot for another month of bookish goodness. I can’t wait for next months box which is themed Dragons! I’m not sure what the books is going to be for next month, but I do love a good fantasy novel about dragons so I’m sure that it’s going to be an amazing book.
Fairy Loot have said that next months book will be physically signed by the author.
They have also said that there will be an exclusive reading journal (like last years) that is inspired by dragons, an exclusive book sleeve, and there will also be an advanced reading copy of a highly anticipated fantasy book that isn’t going to be released until July 2019.
Next month is also the first month where Fairy Looy will be including trading cards which are inspired by A Court of Thorns and Roses.
Don’t forget to check out the Fairy Loot website to see pictures and details of their past book boxes and to also see their price plans for subscriptions. You can find all of my unboxings on my unboxings page…
Believe me guys, you do not want to miss out!
