Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish list prompt originally hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and currently hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. The theme for this week is:

September 4: Bingeworthy TV Shows/Amazing Movies (The new fall TV season is starting up this month, so let’s talk about what shows everyone should watch when they’re not reading!)

As you can probably see, I’m doing quite a lot of these weekly memes lately. I figured that it’s a very good way of interacting with other bloggers, and getting my blog out there a little bit more. Yes this week, the theme isn’t bookish at all, but when I’m not reading, I’m watching TV or films, so I can’t wait to share with you all of the shows that I love! (Disclaimer: this list is no particular order!)

 1) Lucifer

Ahhhh I LOVE this show so much. I keep meaning to pick up the graphic novels, but they are so expensive, so I just keep putting it off. But the show is one of my favourite TV shows ever. I love the characters, I love the actors, I love the storyline… I love everything about it. And when I heard that it had been cancelled after season 3, I thought I was going to cry. But it’s all good! It was picked up for season four, so I get more Lucifer!

2) Brooklyn Nine-Nine

I think everyone knows how amazing this show is, right? I think I’ve seen the entirety of this show about 5/6 times? I just can’t get enough of it. As it was with Lucifer, when this got cancelled, I ACTUALLY DID cry. But I think it was about half an hour later (?) it got picked up again, so all was right in my world. If you haven’t seen this show, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE watch it. It’s amazing.

 

3) Criminal Minds

I was ‘umming’ and ‘ahhhing’ about whether to include Criminal Minds or CSI: Las Vegas. But (obviously) I went with Criminal Minds because I watch CSI when I was about 7. Criminal Minds is a show that I’ve watched very recently, and I watched all 13 seasons in a couple of weeks? And now I need to wait for ages until season 14 and that makes me soooooo sad…

4) Riverdale

I have a love/hate relationship with this show. The storyline isn’t exactly the best, and the acting isn’t really that great either, but there is something about this show that just keeps me addicted. I just have no idea what it is.

5) Full Metal Alchemist

I obviously had to include some anime on this list, as it’s the type of TV that I watch the most of. And what’s a list of top 10 TV shows without Full Metal Alchemist? I have seen Brotherhood as well, but I just love the original so much more.

6) The X-Files

I used to watch my parents watch this, and they absolutely loved it (the older seasons, not the newer ones). So when I became old enough to watch it, I did. And I have loved it ever since. I have seen all of the older seasons, but I haven’t seen the latest one because I’m really apprehensive about the newer versions, as I don’t think that it will have the same kick as the older ones did.

7) Sword Art Online

I haven’t actually met that many people that have seen this show, but when I find out that they haven’t, I always urge them to. The storylines flit between reality and virtual reality, and there are romance and action… It’s got everything. It’s one of those shows that you enjoy whilst watching it, and then when you look back and think about it, you think of it as an average show. And that’s what I think about it. It’s average when I look back at it, but whilst you’re in the moment, you absolutely love it.

8) Blue Exorcist

Oh my God, I love this anime so much. Everything about this TV show, I absolutely love. The characters are amazing, the storyline is fantastic, and season two is just as good as season one! I need more of this show and these characters.

9) Supernatural

I’ll be completely honest, I stopped watching this at the end of season nine. But I do keep meaning to go back and finish watching it, and catch up. But it’s on the 14th season now? I think? But IT IS definitely a binge-worthy show. When I first started watching it years and years ago, I watched it non-stop. So yeah… I think that I might go back to it…

10) One Punch Man

Yes, another anime that’s on this list. I told you that I watch a lot of anime, so I HAD to include some of it on here. One Punch Man only has one season, with the second season coming very soon. I absolutely love the manga, so when the anime became available on Netflix, I watched it straight away. It’s so humorous, and it has a brilliant plot.

So there we have it! That’s my first ever Top 10 Tuesday post completed! I always love sharing more about myself and the things that I love with my readers, and I do find that these weekly memes are a great way of doing that!
