Fairy Loot March Unboxing 2018
Welcome back to ANOTHER Fairy Loot unboxing! If you don’t already know, I now also have a YouTube channel where I have also filmed an unboxing as well as writing this blog post. So, for this month, the theme was ‘Memorable Moments’ and it marks the 2 year anniversary of Fairy Loot which is absolutely amazing! I can’t believe that it’s been 2 years already! I subscribed to the box in December of 2016, so 9 months after Fairy Loot started up. I’m so happy to be a subscriber to this amazing box and I look forward to receiving many more brilliant put together boxes in the future.
Thank you Anissa, Michael and the Fairy Loot team!
Let’s get on with the unboxing…
Another Fairy Loot box means another month of gorgeous artwork which is designed by Taratjah! The artwork for this month is absolutely amazing and sums up the book and theme perfectly. On the back of this card is all of the information about each item, but I never look at this as it contains spoilers as to what is in the box, and I WANT TO BE SURPRISED!
The first item that I spotted was this soap from Geeky Clean. I have so much soap from Lush Cosmetics it’s crazy, so it’s nice to finally have some soap from a different company and I can’t wait to try it out. It smells of strawberries and vanilla and is AMAZING!
The next item that I saw was this cute little candle from Paper Flames Candle Co. The theme of the candle is Goblet of Fire inspired by Harry Potter and the scent is chocolate and fresh bread. If anyone has ever tried the cupcake face mask from Lush Cosmetics, it smells EXACTLY like that which is brilliant because it just makes me want to eat it all up (obviously, I’m not going to because it’s wax… duh)
RRP: £8.25

This was such a yummy treat to see in the box! This item is hot chocolate from Eponine. It’s vegan and gluten free. I’ve never had vegan – or gluten free – hot chocolate before. Actually, I’ve never tried anything vegan before, so I’m quite intrigued as to what this is going to taste like.
HOW AMAZING IS THIS ITEM?!! I am completely and utterly in love. It’s a scarf made by FictionTea Designs and it’s inspired by The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare (and all of the other Shadowhunter books!). Look at all the pretty runes! I’m seriously going to wear this everywhere I go…
I have never seen anything like this in a book subscription box! It’s bunting! Made of cork! I now have somewhere to put all of my pin badges that have come with Fairy Loot boxes and I FINALLY HAVE SOMEWHERE TO PUT MY OFFICIAL BTS X AMAS PIN BADGE! *happy dance* The cork bunting is from Paladone.
Next up, I saw the promotional items for The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton. There was a bookmark and then a pin badge. I’m yet to read The Belles yet, but I’ve heard such amazing things about the books that I can’t WAIT to read it!
AND THE BOOK OF THE MONTH IS: State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury. I genuinely thought that the book of the month was going to be To Kill A Kingdom so I never bought it because I thought it was going to be in this box. BUT! Never mind! I’ve seen this book floating around Waterstones but I never actually picked it up to see what it was about. After reading the blurb though, it actually sounds very interesting! This is actually an exclusive edition of State of Sorrow as it’s in hardback. You will only find the paperback version of it in bookshops and online as it was only PRINTED in paperback, except for its printing for Fairy Loot.
Sorrow – for that is all she brings us.
A people laid low by grief and darkness.
A cut-throat race for power and victory.
A girl with everything and nothing to lose…By day, Sorrow governs the Court of Tears, covering for her grief-maddened father, who has turned their once celebrated land into a living monument for the brother who died before she was born.
By night, she seeks solace in the arms of the boy she’s loved since childhood. But one ghost won’t stop haunting her, and when enemies old and new close ranks against her, Sorrow must decide how far she’s willing to go to win…

Along with the book, there was also a signed bookplate which you can stick in your book, there was a postcard with the cover of State of Sorrow, and then there was the letter from the author which was A4 size this time! Normally, the size of the letters are A5, but this time it’s so much bigger which is different!
As always, Fairy Loot included the Fairyscoop newsletter (which was purple to match the box!) which includes an interview with Melinda Salisbury, a look at the journey that Fairy Loot has made over the past two years, a crossword, celebrating some of the pictures and work that social media users have made of/for Fairy Loot and then lastly, there is also the information about next months box (which sounds A-MAZ-ING!). Fairy Loot also (always) include a bookmark that has the artwork of the month printed on the front and then ‘Fairy Loot / March 2018 / ‘Memorable Moments’ printed on the back!
Thank you to Fairy Loot for another month of bookish goodness. I can’t wait for next months box which is themed Whimsical Journeys. I think I have a vague idea as to what the book is for next month but I’m not 100% certain but if it’s what I think it is, then I AM SO EXCITED! Don’t forget to check out the Fairy Loot website to see pictures and details of their past book boxes and to also see their price plans for subscriptions. You can find all of my unboxings on my unboxings page…
Believe me guys, you do not want to miss out!
