Popular Book Series I Still Haven’t Started
There are so many books out there I want to read and I know that you guys feel like that too. There are way too many books in the world so in order to deal with it, we just buy them all and end up having a TBR the size of Mt. Everest. And because of this, we don’t always get round to reading the books that we want.
For me, getting round to reading books or series that I want to read is hard. I’m constantly on a schedule to read and review arcs before they come out. Because of this, I don’t get a chance to read all of the books that I buy with my own money. So I thought that I would compile a list of all of the popular books/series I haven’t read yet because of reading arcs for a deadline. Here we go..
1) Throne of Glass series and A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas
Yes you read that right. I haven’t read either of the world dominating series. The funny thing is, I actually own all of the books in both series so when the time comes where I can read them, at least I can marathon them ?
2) Six of Crows duology and The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
Same as above, I own all of the books in the duology and trilogy, but I haven’t read even a sentence of them
3) Illuminae chronicles by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
Again, own both Illuminae and Gemina but haven’t read them. Oops
4) The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
This is probably the series that I’m most bummed about not reading. I own all four books and they just look so amazing. They’ll probably be the first series that I marathon when I get the chance
5) A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy by V E Schwab
You know what’s not funny? I own both the UK paperback editions and the US hardcover editions of the full trilogy. And I haven’t even read a single word of it.
6) Daughters of Smoke and Bone trilogy by Laini Taylor
Same as all of the above. I own all three books, I’ve met Laini Taylor but I still haven’t read them.
7) The Monsters of Verity trilogy by V E Schwab
Again, I own hardcover editions of both This Savage Song and Our Dark Duet.
8) Harry Potter I’M JOKING! I’M JOKING. I’VE READ THEM ALL ? But on a serious note, I haven’t read The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare.
I’ve read all of The Mortal Instruments books and I’ve read The Infernal Devices trilogy but I haven’t gotten round to reading Lady Midnight or Lord of Shadows. Even though I own both paperback and limited edition copies of both ??
9) The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordon
Again, I own all of the Percy Jackson books because I found the set for a really good price in one of my local shops, but I just haven’t had time to get round to them. I do really want to read them because they look and sound amazing
10) The Young Elites trilogy and the Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
Please don’t hurt me! I got both trilogies for really good deals and so I couldn’t really pass the offer up…
11) Shatter Me series by Tahareh Mafi
I actually don’t even own one single book of this series because I haven’t been able to find them for a good price anywhere. But I really do want to read them because of three other books coming out in the next few years!
12) The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon
You know what’s the most annoying? When the next book comes out, the publishers probably won’t release it in the colour version, just in the white hardback versions… Which means I’ll have to have a cover change half way through and IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY.
So there we have it… Those are the 12 popular series that I haven’t read yet. And there’s more… There is way more than 12 but I didn’t want to make this blog post any longer than it already is, so maybe I’ll do a part 2 post. I also have a post about the popular standalone books that I haven’t read yet. It just makes me realise how behind I am though. I’m going to have to buckle down and just binge-read any moment that I have.
Which popular series haven’t you read yet? Let me know in the comments!

Oh gosh I’m yet to read all this book series too! I always say I’ll get round to it but my TBR pile is massive!
