My Thoughts on Becoming a BookTuber
More people seem to be going onto YouTube and prefer watching a review or book haul than reading about one.
The problem is, I have anxiety. I have depression. With this comes major problems when it comes to me starting a BookTube channel:
See?! Problems… So many problems and my head isn’t just going crazy over it.
I want to start one. I want to see what it’s like. I want to see if it may get me more recognition. But most of all, I just want to share my love of books to a wider audience, to the people who don’t want to go on a blog and read a full post.
Maybe… Just maybe…
What do you guys think? If you click on this post and read it, please please leave a comment about any advice you have for me and what you would like to see me do. Also, please include a reason because if you think I shouldn’t start one, I really would love to know why!

If it helps, I started booktubing a while ago and to be honest, it's probably one of the nicest communities to enter into because we all sort of love the same thing and realise that everyone has different preferences and it's all very pleasant.
I did the exact opposite, I started out on BookTube for a couple of months, and though I really enjoyed myself, I felt so uncomfortable with the idea of being so "out there" that I completely wiped myself from the internet until I felt better about it. Now I see that all it was that made me do that was paranoia, because I never got any mean comments and people were nothing but lovely to me and I made some really good friends that I still talk to daily. I think it's important to step out of your comfort zone once in a while, but there's no shame if you change your mind and decide to leave it. You've gotta keep yourself healthy and safe. Book blogging has definitely been a better fit for me even though I've only been doing it for 3 weeks, but you might find that you enjoy BookTube a lot! I say give it a go, but don't feel bad if it doesn't turn out to be the right fit.
Also if you want to chat about it I'm @mouthfulofink on twitter (plus I'll watch your videos cause I'm always looking for new channels to watch).
Hmm… yeah I can imagine it's a fantastic community… I've ordered a tripod for my phone so that I can maybe record my first video over the weekend… Fingers crossed

Yeah, I can actually imagine me enjoying BookTube, I think it's just the initial anxiety that giving me major anxiety. There's also the thought of no one actually watching my videos (thank you for saying you'd watch them! xD), I mean I know people have got to start somewhere – exactly like I did with this blog, but i'm just so so nervous.
Thank you for the advice though!

I'm exactly the same! I don't want to look foolish for even thinking people might want to watch me drone on about books lol! But actually I don't care if people watch me. I hope they do!! But I want to do it just for me and if it doesn't work out very well then lesson learned Haha! But yep I over think this too! Ps- would love to see you do a book and the people who said could have said no because they can't stand YouTube or YouTube communities and it's nothing to do with you 🙂 xx
Yeah that's what Dad said about it having nothing to do with me and them just disliking YouTube.
I'm going to give it a go and see what it's like. I can easily stop it if I'm not enjoying it!
