BUT IT’S FINALLY HERE! Part one of the U.K vs U.S covers…

Without any further ado, let’s get on with the judging!

I definitely prefer the U.S cover. Even though both covers are beautiful, my gut feeling is to go with the U.S one. The best way I judge this is, if I spent extra money buying the U.S cover, then I must really like the U.S cover!

 

Again, my vote HAS to go for the U.S cover. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE U.K COVER?! SERIOUSLY?!! I just love how artistic the U.S one is, I love the colours… However, THERE HAS BEEN A COVER CHANGE…

Vengeful is the sequel to Vicious, and both covers have undergone a change, which means that if you have the above U.S cover, then the Vengeful cover WILL NOT MATCH. Fun times… Which now means that I have to buy the new covers of both Vicious and Vengeful so they match. UGGGGGGHHHH

 

 

Now this is a very very hard one because I love both of the covers… But I think I’m going to have to go for the U.S cover. I’m not that big of a fan of people on front covers, and even though the U.K cover is actually really cool, I prefer the sword surrounded by the purple flowers on the U.S cover…

C’MON U.K, YOU’RE DOING RUBBISH!

 

Now I just feel really bad for the U.K… I really want to support my home country, but when it comes to this cover, I just have to go with the U.S cover. The U.K publishing teams have a tendency to simplify covers, make them white and more bland. The U.S cover of This Savage Song is bursting with colour and the typography is just amazing. So I’m going to have to go with the U.S cover… Again…

WHAT WERE THE U.K THINKING?!!! IT HAS AN AWFUL FONT AND JUST ALL OF THE YELLOW MAKES IT SO GARISH!! The U.S definitely gets my vote here. 100%. There isn’t even any debate…

THE U.K FINALLY HAS A BETTER COVER!!!

I do really like the U.S cover, I do, but I love the woman’s face on the U.K one. I love the typography, and I love the lighting. Well done, U.K!

 

I’m having great difficulty choosing between these covers… I love the simplicity of the U.S one, but then I also love the design of the U.K one with the waves…

I really don’t know…

I think I’m going to go with the U.K one… Just because of the waves…

I’m 100% going with the U.K cover here. I don’t even know why, it’s just a gut feeling that I have. Don’t get me wrong, I love the typography on the U.S cover, but the person in the mask is just getting to me for some reason… So I’m going to go with the U.K cover.

 

The U.S cover. Hands down. Both covers are very similar but I love the colour of the U.S one so much more, with the blue and the pinks. Again, the U.K have just simplified it, instead of making it eye-catching like the U.S one.

 

Why is there a pear on the U.K cover? Why? Why did they think that would be a great idea? Because it really isn’t.

LOOK AT THE U.S COVER! IT. IS. SO. MUCH. BETTER.

That’s all I have to say about this one…

 

This is probably the hardest one out of all of them… They are both just so gorgeous…

But my gut instinct is saying the U.K one because of the gold. It just really catches your attention.

I do love the U.S one, with the blues and the reds, but I think the U.K has won this one.

So there we have it! That’s part one of my U.K vs U.S book covers blog posts. There IS going to be a part two and three, and I’m hoping it will be a post that will continue to carry on as new books come out. There’s going to be different posts because I just didn’t want to put them all in one VEEERRRYYYY LOOOOOONNNNGGG post because that would be a nightmare to write (and read).

Definitely keep your eyes peeled for the next parts of the series!
